CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Jockey Rodriguez has made a favorable impres sion on turf patrons at Bowie by his masterly work in the saddle. Jack McGinnis expects groat things of his good colt Arnold thi* year. Arnold is training at Graves-end and showing good form in his early preparation. Dancing Carnival is the name given to a two-year-old chestnut filly by Star Shoot — Decoy, the property of T. McElioy. who purchased her at the dispersal sale of the late Schuyler L. Parsons stable. B. Travers is training the horses of W. J. Starr, now stabled at Gravesend. The band includes Wise Man. Golding. I»rd Fitz Herbert. Rapid Day. War Zone and Somewhere, the last three men tinned be-iug two -year -olds. The big British steamship Miunetoiika. on which many valuable English and French thoroughbreds have been brought to this country, was sunk iu the Mediterranean some time during February, the maritime register reports.
