0RMESDALE IS RETIRED TO THE STUD New York. April 11-— Announcement lias been made that Ormesdale. the property of Richard T. Wilson, and winner t f the Metropolitan Handicap last year, has been retired to the Kirklevington Farm in Kentucky. Several weeks ago trainer Thomas Healey was hopeful that he could bring the son of Ormondale back to the races this year, but when it was apparent he would not stand training, it was decided to send him to the stud. Ormesdale is the five-year-old son of Ormondale — Madchen. and was bred by Mr. Wilson. As a two-year-old he won the Keene Memorial and Great American. As a three-year-old he was returned a winner upon three occasions, and last year he crowned his turf career by his victory in the Metro-is.litan. Wyoming, another promising racer in the Wilson stable, is also on! of commission. Wyoming re-centlv split a hoof and it i- announced that no effort will be made to get hint to the races this year.
