Edwards, racing secretary of the Metropolitan Jockey Club, has distributed the urogram books for the spring meeting at Jamaica, where the metropolitan season of racing begins on May Its. Eight stake races are provided for the nine days of racing, with the Paumonok Handicap, of the guaranteed value of $."i. IOO. as the opening day attraction. The Paumonok is for three-year-olds and over, and it closed with sixty-two nominations. While Omar Khayyam and Hourless are not included among the entries, nearly all the other high-class haudican horses of the older division have lieeu named.
