Louisville, Ky., May 8. — Fresh arrivals of horses "ontinue to pour into both Churchill Downs and liouglas Park, most of th" newcomers coming from Lexington. Included in the late arrivals is f Instable of J. O. and G. II. Keene. comprising ten two-year-olds and the older horses Moscow a and Pulaski. E. R. Bradley lias also shipped n iiortion here in advance of the dose of the Lexington meeting. The stable has several horses at the Downs in charge of William Hnrley, while others are quartered at Douglas Iark. Joe Cmensetter with five head, and L. H. Dickinson with Olga Star and Ouide. Post, are back at Churchill Downs. Will Perkins sent sixteen from .lis establishment at liouglas Park and the remainder will arrive after the Lexington meeting closes. Jockey R. WiiiKfield, after leaving the employ of trainer Jim Everman without cause, has rejiented of his action and, on his promise to behave himself ■ n the future, the boy has been taken back. Everman did not make any application for a jockey li cense for Wingfield. owing to the Ix.ys insubordination. He will, however, seek a license for the rider at the commissions next meeting. Oeneral Manager Matt Winn was in conference todav with Brigadicr-Ocneral Harry Hale, in charge at Camay Baahary Taylor, to arrange for a military display "at Churchill Downs Derby day. The triumph ret -ntly of Gainsborough in the Two Thousand Guineas in England, recalled to Ib-nry McDanicl. that W. R. Coo. the eastern aaaataanaa, came nretty near becoming the owner of this colt two years ago. Mr. Coo had instructed his agent in England to buy tiie colt for 5,000. but after looking over the horse, the agent did not like his looks and, nn his recommendation. Mr. Coo withdrew his bid. But for this incident, tiie colt might now be on American soil. He is by Bayardo — Kosedrop. and is tae favorite candidate for the Epsom Derby.
