JOCKEYS UNDER WORK OR FIGHT EDICT New York July 25 The work or fight edict Is beginning to have effect on the jockeys hereabout The government officials are rounding up riders within the draft age among others Already notices have been served on Joe NottVr J McTaggart Vincent Powers Barrett Haynes and G Corey that they must either find essential employment or don i uniform uniformThese These young men are in a quandary just what to do as the majority have dependants and eighteen dollars a week iir a factory they claim is not suf ¬ ficient to support themselves and families I am willing to do most anything said Joe Notter to help the good cause but I am all at sea just what job I cail get Others that have been served with notices express themselves In similar terms
