WHITNEY YEARLINGS SHIPPED EAST Arrangements Mode to Send Madden Yearlings to Saratoga Kentucky Turf Gossip GossipLexington Lexington Ky July 27 Nine yearlings belonging to Harry Payne Whitney were shipped from his farm near Lexington yesterday to New York to be broken and trained by James Kove KoveOne One car without stalls arrived today for John E Maddens yearlings It was necessary to send to Cincinnati for portable stalls before the yearlings can be loaded for transportation to Saratoga where they are to be sold August 3 3Capt Capt Kal Parr and Win Garth who were here the first part of the week are said to have made several purchases from Mr Madden MaddenW W V Thraves it was reported yesterday has purchased the John McClintoek place on the Mays ville Pike from Mr Madden and is to have possession October 1 The property contains 220 acres and will be used by the former Virginian as a thor ¬ oughbred nursery It adjoins Charles II Berrymans Saghonet Farm FarmJohn John Miller was advised today that he will have a car Monday in which to transport the Claiborue Stud yearlings belonging to Arthur B Hancock to Saratoga where tuey are to be sola August 9
