at Saratoga He has only two engagements at the Spa in the Delaware Handicap of 3300 at one mile and the Saranac Handicap of 3000 at one mile Inasmuch as the Delaware Handicap is a race for horses three years old and over the Apple gate star may not fill his engagements in tills race as Frank Weir his astute and accomplished trainer announced not long ago that the colt would be reserved for races in which he is under engage ¬ ment to meet opponents of bis own age rather than those in which he would be pitted against older opposition oppositionTrainer Trainer Weir explains the colts
