GOVERNOR L0WDEN FAVORS BOXING Governor Lowden of Illinois Is quoted as saying that he will tign a boxing hill if passed by the State Legislature at Its coming session, but that the measure must be absolutely on the square and not savor of the professional and gambling interest that at one time controlled and practically made it an outlaw sport. The governor said: "I am most friendly to boxing as a clean, honest and manly method of physical development, particularly as it has become so worth while in the preparation of the men for the army and the navy.
