4. 4, EARNINGS OF THE HORSES WHICH COMPOSED THE STABLE OF RICHARD T. WILSON IN THE RACING OF 1918 j : In earnings R. T. Wilsons stable fared reasonably well in the racing of last year because its homebred two-year-old Hannibal and its English four-year-old Corn Tassel raced to such good effect as to gain places in the enviable list of winners of 0,000 or more. Hannibal was one of the good two-year-olds of 1918 and winner of the Kceue Memorial Stakes at Itelmont Park and the rich Saratoga Special at Saratoga. So far the good two-year-olds by Olambala have not turned out to be good three-year-olds, but Hannibal may prove the first exception. Corn Tassel is a reliable handicap horse and, being a gelding, is likely to tigure usefully in our racing for some years unless incapacitated by accident. The two-year-old Thistledon and the three-year-old Wyoming also rendered Mr. Wilson good sen-ice, each winning in excess of ,000, while Woodthrush, Thunderstorm, Whippoorwill. Minuet and Umbala helped defray expenses by turning in ,000 or more. In all, the earnings of the components of the stable were: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. Won.
