CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF R. F. Carman says Sunny Slope and other horses of The Beach Stable, together with his own string, are wintering well. The masters of hounds of the recognized hunts of Virginia have elected H. S. Page to represent them on the hunts committee of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association for 1919. Mr. Page is now living in Virginia, his farm being at Bluemont. Racing secretary McL. Earlocker of the Westchester and Saratoga Racing Associations will now replace the service flag of his office with one bearing a gold star in commemoration of Sergeant John Quinlandan, who died after an attack of pneumonia at the Guti Hill Road Base Hospital in the Bronx. Quinlandan was stenographer for the racing association be-fore he volunteered in Uncle Sams Army In June, 1017.
