THIRTY LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS The name of last years leading jockey, Frank Robinson, does not appear in the 1919 list of successful riders. But tlie family name is still to the fore iu the tierson of the promising lad C. Robinson, who, unless all signs fail, is a comer and destined to continued prominence in the field of horsemanship. He heads the New Orleans riders and prob-ablv will continue to do so. At Havana two more promising youngsters, J. Droyer and T. Murray, are doing commendable work in the saddle and are second and third respectively in this years list. A New Orleans "kid" rider, J. Mooney, is also riding well and attracting attention. One of the interesting features of winter racing is its annual development of new riders of apparent promise. Whether anv of the new ones of this winter are to rank with Saiide of last winter is a problem awaitiiig solution in the greater racing campaign of next spring, summer ami autumn. Of the more experienced riders M. Garner is doing well at New Orleans and may be in for a good year.
