SENNINGS PARK MAKES GOOD SHOWING LOUISVILLE Ky April 15 The best recent work shown by any of the Kentucky Derby candi ¬ dates in local training was witnessed yesterday morning at Churchill Downs when A Bianchis Senniiigs Park running over a slow track ran a mile in 144 running the first threequarters in 117 The colt was paced by E J Lynch a stablcmate for the first threequarters and went under a steady gait with liis rider having him under good restraint for the entire distance Owner Bianchi was immensely pleased with tin work and reiterated his former assertion that the son of Jim Gaffney would have to be reckoned with on the afternoon of tiie big race raceThe The other Derby nominees are going along steadily in their preparation and it is now a fore ¬ gone conclusion that all of them will be fit and ready for tiie contest Texas Special lias shown im ¬ proved form during the past week Clermont is also doing splendidly for Pete Coyne while B 1 Bran iion continues to maintain his firm opinion that liis St Bernard has more than an outside chance and is bending every effort to have his colt just as fit as he can be made One does not hear much about Iwiniwin but the colts owner and trainer Tex Foreman is not idle by any means Iwiniwin getting his training at Douglas Park where he is less subject to public scrutiny and where he has been taking his training in a manner that is en ¬ couraging to his admirers
