NEW PRESIDENT FOR LAUREL TRACK IALTIMOUK Md May 1C At a meeting of the directors of the Maryland State Fair held at laurel this morning Spaulding Ixiwe Jenkins was elected president of the club t succeed the late Senator Johnson Mr Jenkins as formerly president of the Maryland Jockey Cli and is connected socially with some of the promi cut families of Maryland The directors decided on uany improvements which will be made to the olai before the meeting opens Jiext fall The idea is make Laurel one of the finest countryWilliam racing grounds in the country William 1 Riggs who acts as racing secretary and steward at Iimlico will act in an advisory Capacity for the Maryland State Fair The future meetings at I uirel will be conducted on the same lines that have made Iimlico so popular with the racing public
