NATURALIST NOT AN ERRATIC HORSE NEW YORK N Y June 23 Thomas Welch who bought Naturalist in France brought him to this country and developed him says there is no justification in calling J E Wideners good racer an erratic horse horseI I dont he said understand why he is called erratic There is no justification for it As a mat ¬ ter of fact he is the most consistent handicap horse in the country Last year he started seventeen times and won nine his stable earnings amounting to 11011 This year lie has run five times and has been first in three Last fall he won five races in succession The only fault I have to find with him is he wont work
