MANY IMPROVEMENTS AT NEW ORLEANS NEW YORK N Y July 15 Ben Holmes who is custodian of the Palm Garden at the Fair Grounds New Orleans is in receipt of a letter from the management of that track stating that extensive improvements will be completed before the opening of racing next winter The stables at the Mystery street entrance also those in Irish Row will be removed and new ones erected The steel stand at City Park is to be removed to the Fair Grounds making a much more spacious and commodious structure A new drainage system is also to be installed Purses are to be increased and a liberal policy in all branches maintained
