WHAT HAS BEEN DONE AT NEW ORLEANS NEW ORLEANS La July 22 J P Long Joe JoeMurphy Murphy confirmed what has already been said regarding the many progressive improvements that have been made at the New Orleans Fair Grounds track He said As you know the City Park stand Is being moved to the Fair Grounds which will insure plenty of room Fifteen hundred wagon loads of top dressing are being placed on the track and there is plenty of sand in this soil mitigating against the mud somewhat All the new barns that are being constructed are to be waterproof The bad spots in the track at the threeeighths and halfmile posts have been completely filled in A lot of new ditches have been dug and the old ones cleaned out to a depth of five feet Racegoers will see a great deal to commend on their visit them next winter
