steadily and saving ground when entering the homestretch finished fast when put under punishment and was wearing the winner down at the end EVERGAY displayed tiie most early speed under hard pressure but quit in the stretch IRELAND closed a big gap in the first half and was not l ersevcred with in the stretch ROUND ROBIN raced wide throughout and finished gamely BRYN ¬ HILD and CAPTAIN HERSHLER was always a forward contender and held on gamely at the finish although his rider lost both his stirrups at the twelfth jump and his girth broke so lie was not able to do full justice to RHOMB when
