SEAMY SIDE OF ENGLISH RACING There was so much welshing perpetrated by so-called bookmakers operating outside the inclosures at Sandown Park .on AVednesday that the police in force proceeded yesterday to put a stop to betting from traps and stools. All vehicles entering the park were searched and many were denied entrance. This is si step in the right direction ut last. Another ground of complaint was the barefaced gambling by means of cards, dicet spinning jenny, etc., which was carried on during the day within the park.
