JEFFERSON PARK TO OPEN NOVEMBER 27 SARATOGA SPRINGS, X. Y.f August 30. Rumors that the Jefferson Park track would not open until Decemlier 10 were authoritatively denied today in a message sent by James F. OHara, who announces that the Jefferson Park track would open Thanksgiving day. He also made it known, that over 0,000 had been expended in improvements, notably in reconstructing the track and roadways. The track proper has been raised over two feet from its former base. Messrs. McLellan and Eddy, who came here in the interest of the Xew Orleans Fair Grounds, are highly gratified with the results they achieved in their missionary efforts and left tonight for Xew York, where they will visit Belmont Park before returning to Xew Orleans. It is general manager Eddys intention to incorporate many of the features here in the constructed Fair Grounds plant. "Additional stable building will be necessary to accommodate the many that have spoken for reservations, and it is planned now to have enough room at the Fair Grounds for 1200 horses," said Mr. Eddy. Officials that will serve at the meeting will probably be announced at the first meeting of the Fair Grounds directorate, to be held soon after the homecoming of Messrs. McLellan and Eddy. It is the intention of these gentlemen to visit Kentucky during the racing there in the fall.
