ELYSIAN. after being saved behind the leader under a hard pull nearly " all the way, moved up rapidly at. the last fence, then was eased up to permit his stablemate to win. BABCOCK jumped badly at a few fences and, tiring in the last, quarter, was driving hard to withstand BELLE O THE SEAS challenge. MAX O AVAR followed CONSTAXOY under slight restraint in the early running, then took the lead at his riders leisure after, entering the homestretch and wen in a canter. CLEOPATRA began slowly, but came around the leaders on the last turn and, closing up gamely in the stretch, easily passed CONSTANCY -in the filial drive. COXSTAXCY set a fast pace in the early running, but tired in the final eighth. HASTEN OX, always a forward contender, moved up fast on the outside when straightened away in the stretch, but was pinched off at the eighth post by COXSTAXCY arid could never recover. 11SKT, in a tangle at the start, was hard ridden, but seemed- handicapped by the going. IRISH KISS was shuttled back on the last turn, but finished resolutely. BULLDOZE had no mishaps.
