CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Secretary Fred Rehberger says that the high-priced selling race experiment at Saratoga was not as successful as it might have been, but some ,000 selling handicaps will be booked for the Aqueduct meeting. . John E. Madden purchased Thunderclap from II. K. Knapp Saturday morning for 2,500, and soon after sold him at an advance to Sam C. Ilildroth. Originally Thunderclap cost Mr. Knapp ,500, and he has been a consistent winner in his colors. The colt was bred by Estill and Madden. P. A. Clarks Futurity winner of last year, Dun-boyne, is trainiugi0 his best form at Saratoga. Friday morning he worked a mile and a half in 2:39. This good colt is an eligible to the 0,000 Latonia Championship Stakes and will be sent to Kentucky to try for that rich prize.
