WESTERN HORSES DETAINED AT THE SPA LEXINGTON, Ky., September 1. Jockey John Howard arrived this morning from Saratoga. He paid it probably would be Wednesday before the stable of T. C. McDowell will get away from the Spa, there being a shortage of ears. Robert H. Shannon, who also came from Saratoga, stated that the E. It. Bradley string will leave there Wednesday. William Hurley was another arrivul from Saratoga. George Swain arrived here from the past tonight.
