TRAINING OPERATIONS AT LEXINGTON LEXINGTON, Ky., September 3. Charles E. Pattersons four-year-old bay colt Drastic, by Hastings Dragnet, candidate for the Lexington Cup Handicap, ,000 added, one mile and a half, to be run Wednesday, September 17, showed the best move of this bright morning over a fast track at the Kentucky Jockey Club grounds. ,His fractional time was half in rl, three-quarters in 1:10, mile .in 1:42 and mile and an eighth in 1:30, quite easily. Kewpie OXeil, one of Drastics stable-mates, showed a mile in 1:42 and that was the mornings best at that distance. The fastest at three-quarters was 1:14 and by Blue Paradise, while Serbians 1:15 was next. The average rate was from -1:10 to4:19. . The two-year-old Kinbiirn, from Gallaher Brothers stable, showed the best five-eighths, his time being 1:02. Keep, Catania and Travesty did it in 1:03. Zone dArmee and Atta Boy II. worked halves in 40, but the order of the day was from 50 to 51.
