CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Entries to the Havre de Grace Handicap of 10,000-added, to be run Saturday, September 27, close next Monday. B. L. Gerrys Balustrade is being given a special preparation at Aqueduct for the Latonia Championship Stakes and will soon be shipped to Kentucky. The final time of the third race at- Lexington Wednesday was 1:07 Jf, instead of 1:05 -if, as printed, the error being made in telegraphic transmission. Sixty-two horses were entered in the third race today at Havre de Grace, necessitating the exclusion of forty-two to keep the field down to the limit of twenty. Latest advices from the east are to the effect that S. 1. Kiddle has reconsidered his decision to retire Man o War for the year and the champion two-year-old will start in the Eastern Shore Stakes of 10,000 added, to be run at Havre de Grace Saturday. The St. Leger winner. Lord Derbys Keysoe, has been scratched from the two and one-quarter miles Cesarewitch Stakes, to be run October lti. Her handicap in the Cesarewitch was 103 pounds, but the St. Leger victory gave her a ten-pound penalty. S. . Hildreths Lucullite was withdrawn from the Bnyview Handicap on the opening day at Aqueduct because he was kicked by his stable companion, Out the Way, while exercising last Sunday. While the injury is not serious it may keep him from racing for a week or ten days. Trainer J. H. Batho and jockey .1. B. Cooper, both high in the ranks of the English turf, had their licenses withdrawn virtually ruling off by the Jockey Club steward September 2 for suspicious running and riding of King Sol in the Nonesuch Handicap at Hurst Park August 2.1. Batho is charged witli having run the horse short and Cooper did not persevere with him in the race. King Sol finished fourth and was 10 n I In the betting.
