B. nan-cock today confirmed the report from Havre de Grace that he has sold to AAilfrid Aiau twelve thoroughbred mares, which are to be bred the coming season to Omar Khayyam, winner of the Kentucky Derby, now under lease to Mr. Hancock for two years. The following is a list of mares: Embroidery winner of the St. Leger Handicap, 2 1-4 miles, twice, also the Louisville Cup, by Celt Network; Workmaid. dam of Dunboyne and half-sister to Embroidery, by Fatherless Network; Sand Dune, by Bock Sand Octoroon; Desirous, dam of Lady Urummel, by Hamburg Clementina; Patricia II., by Ard Patrick Princess latti; Silent Queen, dam of King Thrush and sister to the Lincolnshire Handicap winner, Mercation, and to Braxted, winner of the AVorkham Stakes, by Forfarshin. Sillabub; Mimesis, by Ogden Mimosa, by Hamburg; Bonnie Tess, by Star Shoot Last Cherry, grandam of Purchase; Follie Levy, a good race mare, by Golden Maxim Bidicule; Honey Bee, by Hamburg Honi-ton. by Ormonde; Orowoc, by Hamburg Yankee Girl; Goldine, by Flint Bocl: Golden Aiew, dam of Bock Aiew and sister to Fair Play. These mares and Omar Khayyam, accompanied by three mares purchased last year by Mr. Aiau from Fred Johnson will be sent to Claiborne Stud, Mr. Hancocks place near Paris, Ky., in October. The mares now are at the Ellerslie Stud in Airginia.
