RAMltLER ROSE raced into the lead on the backstretch. saved ground on all turns, withstood repeated challenges and held on gamely In the final drive. CINDERELLA raced in closest pursuit all the way, but -was tiring at the end. BRIGHT GOLD moved up gamely on the stretch turn, but was in close quarters through the last eighth. INCINERATOR finished fast under punishment. RALLYI1ELL tired. BIFF DANG ran poorly. BECK AND CALL moved up fast on the outside of the leaders on the last turn, but was forced extremely wide and was eased up when beaten. GROUND-SWELL set a fast early pace and made a game, but tiring, finish. ALVORD. away poorly, worked his way up on the inside and, closing a big gap, tired from the effort. TOMMYWAAC ran well and met with repeated interference. TING-A-LING ran a creditable race. HOUSEMAID ran in close quarters for the last half. HELEN ATKIN quit .in the hist quarter. BETTIE BLUFF displayed the most speed under slight restraint in the early running and, setting a good pace, outstayed MISS ORB in the final drive. MISS ORIS, after setting the early pace, was saved behind the leaders to the stretch turn, then finished gamely under punishment. JACK ODOWD was much used in following the leader closely and tired in the last eighth. TETLEY ran a bad race and can do much better. FRANK WATERS had no mishaps. SUNNYLAND lacked speed. CRYSTAL FORD raced OVER THERE into defeat in the last half, but could not withstand the winners challenge. OVER THERE raced gamely, but tired badly in the stretch. PANAMAN finished fast. TENONS BON rushed around the others on the last turn and raced into a long lead, but gave way when challenged. GRUNDY came fast through the last quarter. STAR REALM quit in the last quarter after setting a fast early pace. THUNDERSTORM quit badly after going a .half.
