TEACHERS PET" displayed the most speed for a half and tired in the final stretch drive. MAY ALLEY began slowly and ran poorly. LADY ARCHIE acted green and tried to run out. FRUIT CAKE, running in vastly improved form, was a forward contender from the start and, holding on gamely under punishment, outstayed PICKWICK iu the final drive. The latter began slowly and gained steadily in the first half saved ground on tho stretch turn and made a game effort in the stretch, but was tiring in the closing strides. ULTIMA THULE was a close contender from the start and finished gamely. JOCK SCOT met with early interference and closed a big gap in the homestretch. OSGOOD raced in the deepest going all the way.
