RECORD ENTRIES FOR PIMLICO STAKES Practically All tho Best Horses in tho Country Named for Maryland Jockey Clubs Attractions.. BALTIMORE, Md., October 15. About thirteen hundred and seventy nominations have been named for the stakes the Maryland Jockey Club closed in September for decision at rimlico in the course of the coming fall meeting November 1 to 11 inclusive. Three hundred and seventy-six of these nominations, however, are not yet of racing age. They have been made "for the 2,500 Pimlico Nursery, a dash of four and a half furlongs for two---year-olds that will not be decided until next spring. These 370 nominations for the Pimlico Nursery are a record. The weight-for age races, Numbers 1, 2 and 3, distances three-quarters of a mile, one mile and one mile and an eighth respectively, for horses of all ages, have drawn 1G9, 172 and 150 entries. The gross value of these races in added money will be ,000. The 0,000 Bowie Cup, a handicap, for three-year-olds and over, at one mile and a half, drew 109 nominations; the ,000 Pimlico Cup, a handicap, for three-year-olds and over, at two miles and a quarter, 100; the ,000 AAalden, a special, for two-year-olds, at one mile, 116; the ,000 Elkridge, a steeplechase, at two miles, for 3-year-olds exclusively, 37; the ,000 Pimlico. Autumn Handicap, a gallop of one mile and a quarter, for three-year-olds exclusively, 07;. the 0,000 Manly Memorial, a steeplechase, for four-year-olds and over, at two miles and a half, 76. The nominators in the Pimlico stakes include the major! tv of the most representative of American horsemen. The best of the country, both as regards horses and horse ownership, will assemble at pimlico in November.
