The Canadian turfman made a clean sweep of the serials when Sir Barton won this afternoon. Billy Kelly captured the first of these events when he beat Constancy and Sir Barton won the second when he beat The. Porter. According to the conditions of these stakes Sir Barton earned ,000 extra for .winning two of these races. This brought the total value of todays stakes for Sir Barton to ,250. Despite his poor showing here this fall Lucullite had a following. He was never really danserous, and when pulled up he was lame. The races were run over a sloppy track and the going became worse as the afternoon progressed.; , . Jean Bnllant was favored in the --opening dash and would have won with better racTngluek. Al Austins colors were carried to -victory in the second race wlten Bclario easily defeated the favorite. Asterisk, which ran well in the going. The steeplechase went to Bob Red field, the old Sanford-brcd jumper leading throughout and holding Quel Bonheur safe when the later , challenged. Grimalkin found tough opposition in the three-quarters of a mile handicap, run as tlie fifth race, iind it required Kummers best efforts, to withstand the powerful closing rush of Pastoral Swain. Both Lunetta and Dottle Vandiver. found the going to their liking in the filial races of the day and won in runaway fashion. Sam Louis purchased at private, terms of S. C.
