BELMONT PARK STAKES TO CLOSE SOON The Westchester Racing Association is in the field with its customary November announcement of important stake races, to be run in the futuru at Belmont Park. The present list is of sixteen events, part of which are of historic fame. Ten are to be run in the course of the spring meeting of 1920 and one at the autumn meeting of the same year. Four are to be run in 1921 and one in 1922, the latter to be the valuable Lawrence Realization Stakes, for three-year-olds, at a mile and five-eighths, with ,000 added. The races of 1921 are the Belmont Stakes, Withers Stakes, Coaching Club American Oaks and the Lawrence Realization. The races for next spring are the Metropolitan Handicap, Suburban Handicap, Toboggan Handicap, Ladies Handicap, Harlem Stakes and Hollis Stakes, all for three-year-olds and over. The Juvenile Stakes, Kcene Memorial Stakes, Fashion Stakes and Bouquet Stakes are provided for the two-year-olds. The race for the autumn meeting is tlie Jockey Club Stakes at weight-for-age, which this year, through the cowardice and selfishness of owners, proved such a failure in degenerating into a walkover for Purchase. Entries to all of these races close at midnight of Thursday, November 20. Attention is directed to the clubs advertisement 011 the last page of this . issue.
