SEWELL COMBS TO SUCCEED R. L. BAKER LEXINGTON, Ky., November 15. In local turf circles today it is rumored that Sewell Combs in all probability will be chosen to be Col. It. L. Bakers successor as manager of the Kentucky Jockey Clubs Lexington track. Sewell Combs is capable, popular, about forty, unmarried and prominent in the business world. He is a contractor and builder, being one of the brothers of former State Senator Thomas A. Combs, member of the Kentucky State Itacing Commission, and all of the recent improvements at the local track were made under his supervision. Sewell Combs is interested witli Gallaher Brothers in the ownership of several horses mid mares and has a genuine fondness for racing. He is vice-president of the Blue Grass Fair Association and the racing of that organization here for several years has been under his management.. He is in every way qualified for the place. 1
