GOOD THREE-YEAR-OLD OPHELIA DEAD NEW YORK. X. Y., December 11. Mrs. Joseph E. Davis three-year-old filly Ophelia died at Gravesend track yesterday. She took cold on her return trip from Bowie, where she was the star of the meeting, winning six of her last seven races, her only defeat being by Slippery Elm. Ophelia waft an English filly, by Senseless Ghent Azalea, and gave promise of being one of the best mures of the coming year.
