LITTLE BOY RETURNED TO OWNER Judge of Superior Court Orders Alleged Ringer Handed Over to Detroit Claimant OTTAWA Ontario July 17 Pending action in tin proceedings of W K Bamford of Detroit against the Connaiight Park Jockey Club and Mr Fred M Jonncaux collector of customs for the iwrt of Ontario the horse kntiwn as Little Boy gies back to Detroit In the Hull Superior Court Judge McDongall gave his decision in the matter of the motion of Messrs 1 W St Marie and Lucieii Canon M 1 giving temporary possession of the racer to the plaintiff Little loy was seized by the Connaught Park Jockey Club on the night of Monday June 21 after lie had won the fifth race there It was alleged that he was a ringer and that E S Moore the reputed owner was a party to a plot on which a big fortune was cleaned up in the poolrooms and handbooks on the American side sideMr Mr Canon siisgcMed that Little Boy be turned over to Mr Bamford on the payment of his main ¬ tenance costs incurred by the jockey club Judge McDougall allowed this requesting however a security bond of 1 00 that the thoroughbred would be returned as evidence when required requiredLittle Little Boy accordingly will bf returned to Detroit immediately Just what his future will be is difficult to say as he has been expelled from the Canadian turf and similar action will IK taken by the New York Jockey Club which con ¬ trols the sport u the American side Moore who formerly owned Little Boy has been expelled so was trainer Doyle Riching Farrington and others Bamford said today that he would endeavor to have Little Boy reinstated but it is doubtful if tin horse which is alleged to have been painted will ever be allowed to race again on the big tracks Investigations are still being carried on and it is understood that the Counaught Park Jockey Club hopes to gt in the near future at the bottom of the whole affair
