MAN 0 WAR VS. SIR BARTON SARATOGA, N. Y August 10. General Manager Matt J. Winn of the Kentucky Jockey Club made known this morning an offer of 5,000 and a costly gold cup for a sweepstakes that would have Man o War and Sir Rarton as .starters. The conditions would be under weight-for-age and leave the respective owners of the crack pair to aigree on the distance to be run. Trainer Bodwell took kindly to the proposition and there is every belief that the proposition will likewise appeal to Mr. Riddle.
