BLUEGRASS FAIR RUNNING RACES; LOWEST PURSE 00; HIGHEST ,000 LEXINGTON. Ky.. August 10. William II. Shelley today issued the book of running races for the Bluegrass Fair Association, of which he is racing secretary. The fair will open here August 30 for six days. Messrs. Sewell S. Combs, chairman; Charles S. Darnaby, James B. Hall, Lexington business men. and D. T. Muttlack,. mayor of Winchester, are in charge. The stewards will be Sam C. Nuckols, Jr., of Versailles; R. L. Baker of Lexington and W. H. Shelley of Louisville. William .Snyder will be the starter. S. K. Hughes, timer; Julius Reeder, clerk of the scales; .Svil-liam E. Phillips, patrol judge, and Dr. C. Cann, paddock judge. The president of the fair association: is James L, lay. The book calls "for five running races daily. The dally added money is ,000, except the Inst day, when ifc.;ls ,400. Lowest purse. 00, highest ?1,000.
