NO STAKES AT DEVONSHIRE But Over 00,000 in Overnight Purses Will Be Distributed During Seven Days of Racing. WINDSOR, Ontario, August 21. M. N. Mucfar-lane, racing secretary of the Western Racing Association, in sending out the program book of the second meeting of the year to be held at Devonshire Park from September 1 to September 8, calls attention to what he believes will be the largest purse distribution in the country where nothing but overnight races are offered. The book calls for a distribution of 02,000 for seven days racing and not one stake event is included on the program. There will be four handicaps of ,000 added each, for three-year-olds and over, from a mile to a mile and a quarter; two handicaps, one of ,500 added, the other of ,000 added, for two-year-olds, several of ,500 and ,000 each and no purse less than ,500.
