GALWAY set the early pace, held on well and outgamed CAPTAIN I!, for second place. The ..latter raced into a clear lead, but tired. GALLEY HEAD had no mishaps. Won .driving; second and third the same. EXTERMINATOR moved up on the backstretch, overtook WILDAIR after entering the stretch and drew away fast in the last sixteenth. WILDAIR set ii fast pace, to the last eighth and held on gamely to the "end. BONIFACE was made much use of in the first quarter in racing for a good, position on the far turn after beginning from-an outside position and, tiring, had to be ridden hard at the end to save third place.
