SARATOGAS BEST MEETING SARATOGA, X. Y., August 31. President R. T. Wilson of the Saratoga Racing Association was warmly congratulated on the success of the meeting which closed today. When seen in his box this afternoon he said: "The meeting which closes today has been the most successful ever held by the Saratoga Racing Association. On behalf of the management I want to thank those who have come from all parts of Xortli America to help make it memorable in tlto annals of racing. Without their generous patronage in former years it would noi have been possible tj offer the great prizes which have attracted the best thoroughbreds iu training to this point. Saratoga is surely the proving ground for testing the quality of our horses. It is here that East meets West at a period when there is no racing elsewhere in the United States. It is also tin; ideal spot for the public sales of yearlings. Breeders renew friendship and exchange views on a topic that is the very foundation of the racing structure. "We have endeavored to give the public the best sport possible, in a setting which it would rte difficult to duplicate anywhere. Additions and improvements have been in our course from year to year, and when our friends return next year they will find much that is new and beautiful to admire iu a plant that is now considered as perfect as any on this continent."
