Won easily; second and third driving. PHALARIS meed into the lead quickly and drew away while rounding the last turn and tired in the stretch, but held his opponents safe. ASTERISK gradually improved his position, saved ground when entering the stretch and finished gamely. NOLAWN, on the outside of the leaders for the entire nice, outstayed DARK HILL in the final drive; The latter made a game effort in the stretch, but tired. PADDY DEAR, under restraint in the early running, made a game effort in the stretch run,- but cxnilil not overhaul the leader. : WAR PLUME saved ground when entering the stretch and moved up gamely at the eighth post, but tired finally. PRUDERY began slowly and was forced to race extremely wide throughout, but finished fastest of all after closing a big gap. ORIOLE, away ferwardly, raced in nearest pursuit cf the leader in the early running hud made a game effort in the stretch, but tired in the closing strides. STEP LIGHTLY had a clear course throughout, hilt could never improve her position. NANCY LEE was shulHed back on the backstrctch and ran a good race. SERAPIS moved up on the last turn, then tired. DARTMOOR and EXODUS were forced to nice wide for1" the entire nice. TOUCH ME NOT was shuffled back at the start and showed speed between calls. DIMMESDALE was sideways at the start. THUNDERSTORM, after being saved in the early running, moved up steadily on the inside in the stretch run and, heading PASTORAL SWAIN at the sixteenth post, was drawing clear in the closing strides. PASTORAL SWAIN showed much speed and raced into a long lead, but tired when challenged. CAMOUFLEUR rail forwardly for a half mile and dropped back.
