JORICE raced into the lead at once and, showing the most speed, held sway for the entire way. but had to be .ridden hard near the end. BLUE PARADISE ran a good race and lost some ground by coming wide on the stretch turn. LADY FAIR PLAY tired after going a good half mile. LEGAL ran well. Overweights Vella K., 1 pounds. RANGOON ran green and wide .on the turns, but finished fast; under strong .riding and is a good colt. COLONEL .BAKER ran well, but tired in the last eighth. LOU WIDRIG finished close up.
