GOOD SPORT AT DORVAL PARK MONTREAL, Que., September 22. The running of the fifth race was productive of a spirited con-.test in which Broom Peddler was returned a winner from Salvatelle and Hondo. Broom Peddler, ridden by Stearns, came on the outside of his op-ixwents at the top of the stretch and raced Salvatelle into defeat in the final eighth. Spirited racing prevailed during the day and several previous winners at the meeting were again victorious. Marjorie Mignon graduated from the nialdeu ranks when she led home a poor band in the opening dash. Hayward had the mount on the winner and also scored with Sevillian in the fourtn race. The track was at its best and fine weather con-illtlons brought out a big crowd. The majority of the winners were well supported by the talent. E, T. Zollicoffers old cripple Highland Lad peered another victory when lie defeated a number of fair sprinters in the third race. The filly Orchestra was excused by the stewards frohi starting in the second race. An abscess broke out in her head after being galloped. Joseph McLennan will receive entries here for the opening days racing at Woodbine Park. The following notice was given to Presiding Steward F. Nelson this morning: "We, the stewards of the meeting of the Kempton Park Jockey Club, Jield at Kempton Park, La Prairie, from July 17 to 24, being of the opinion that trainer Walsh and Jockey J. Smith have been sufficiently punished for the unsatisfactory ride and the sudden reversal of the horse Bed Post, owned by W. T. Trenholme, have this day lifted the suspension and bave placed them both in good standing." Smith will resume riding today.
