IMPROVEMENTS AT HAVANA TRACK NEW YORK, N. Y., September 22. Charles Stonehum, one of the principal stockholders in the Havana, Cuba, race track, announced before sailing for Havana Saturday that improvements costing 50,000 would be made at once. He suld there would be about 1,000 horses racing at Havana next winter and to take care of that many racers it would be necessary to enlarge the paddock and stables. "The growth of Havana as a winter resort continues and 50 per cent more visitorsare expected during the coming season," said Mr. Stoneham.
