DARK HORSE took the lead on the last turn, but tired slightly after racing RANCOCAS into defeat. The latter was speedy, but gave way in the final drive. FALLACY -ran poorly in the going. REY ENNIS moved up with the winner and caught CALVERT for second place right at the end. The latter, after setting the pace to the last sixteenth, tired. ANTOINETTE ran a poor race. LARIAT ran well, and was pinned in next to the rail by CALVERT through the last sixteenth. A claim of foul was not allowed. BOLSTER had a rough race and was cut off twice as his rider attempted to come through next to the rail, then was taken to the outside and finished fast and gamely.
