COLD WEATHER AT TORONTO , SMALL CROWD SEES THURSDAYS RACES AT WOODBINE, i - Thorny Way and Bly Win Principal Races Sir Barton Due at Kenilworth Oct. 5. TORONTO. Ontario, September .10. For the first timet nt this meeting the colors of J. K. L. Ross were carried home victoriously, when Thorny Way easily accounted for the Epsom Plate for two-year-olil Cnnadian-breds, the chief offering of todays program at Woodbine. Tlie Ross filly came from behind in the stretch and, after racing Flying Fori into defeat, drew away into a safe lead. Cold weather again prevailed and tlie attendance was tlie smallest of the micting. The Oxford IMate. at one mile, for three-year-olds, fell to Mrs. F. A. Clarks Bly. which caily hold the favorite Besthoff safe after tlie latter bad passed Bobby Allen, tlie tiring pacemaker. Tie Tattou Plate, at one mile and a quarter, was run in two elivisions. Trickster II. winning tlie first. Ajom was kicked at the post in his last start by Greybourne and will be retired until next year, trainer Schelke reported. Trainer F. Schelke received word this morning from H. el. Bedwell that Sir Barton would lie Shipped to Kenilworth on October 5. The son of Star Shoot will be accompanied by four other horses from the Ross establishment.
