AQUEDUCTS MEETING CLOSES Tippity Witchet Springs a Surprise in Defeating Sennings Park. and Naturalist Easily. AQUEDUCT, N. Y., September 30. Hard showers converted the Aqueduct course into a miniature lake this afternoon, but it brought the victory of the dependable little Broomstick gelding Tippity Witchet for his backers in the Parole Handicap, the feature of the closing day. Naturalist was an odds-on favorite for the race, but the other starters, including Tippity Witchet, Sennings Park, Audacious and Red Red Rose, had strong support. In the running Naturalist vas quickest at the start and until far into the stretch. Tippity Witchet was away slowly, but worked his way up on tlie outside and, challenging Naturalist when a sixteenth out, passed him and won in a mild drive by a length. Sennings Park, under vigorous riding, got up in the closing strides to beat Naturalist for second money. Only two started in the Stonybrook Selling Stakes, W. C. Clancys Pickwick and P. T. Chinns Tom McTaggart. Pickwick was the favorite and an easy winner. Tom McTaggart led until at the eighth post, where Pickwick passed him readily, Kpisode, winner of the ..second dash, was bid up and bought by R. McKeever for ,605. He was the public choice, accounted for the race, which was at six and a half furlongs, but he only had a head advantage over the James MacManus filly Jilt Fringe at the finish. The latter was the early pacemaker, but was taken back under restraint. She was sent for the race too bite, after permitting Episode to take tlie lead on the stretch bend.
