DRY MOON moved up rapidly on the stretch turn, but could never overtake the leader. SEA COVE displayed excellent speed for a half mile and was eased up when beaten. The latter moved up steadily while rounding the last turn, but tired in the stretch. Ensor took PIERRE-A-FEU up at the start and saved him behind the others to the stretch, but had no response when he called on him. LUNETTA began slowly, but gained steadily on the outside of the leaders and outstayed DIFFERENT EYES in the final drive. The latter was a forward contender for tho entire race, but tired in the last eighth. LEADING STAR saved ground on the turns, but tired. PONTYPRIDD closed a big gap. ST. ALLAN was always outpaced.
