EARLY AMERICAN RECORDS . . Performances by Thoroughbreds From 1854 to 1880. How the Marks Were Reduced From Time to Time in Races During That Period. ARTICLE III. Herewith Daily Racing Form presents the third of a series of eight tabulations cut up for the sake of space covering the records of American thoroughbred racing at all disntaces on the flat, heat races Included, from 1851 to 1920. The records are arranged in their order of equality and gradual betterment. The first four serials will cover the early time from 1854 to 1880.
