Master Jack, racing; in the colors of .lleiiry Goode, came from far back, to win the first race, from Hionec and Traritula. The winner was .much the best, .ran aroiiud his opponents from. a. slow beginning to win easily. Iluonce finished fast and was easily second. Trantiila tired badly. Bengalese and Nebuloua had speed, but tired in the final racing. E. C. Hallams Joe Joe was the best of the unwieldy field of fifteen which went to the post in the second race. After a delay of six minutes starter Tribu effected a good start, with Al Pierce showing the way. Toadstool went to the front for an eighth, when Snnrose assumed the lead, which she maintained until well down the stretch, where; Joe Joe came out of the bunch to, win by a half length in a hard drive. Snnrose held on gamely to finish second, The Belgian II. getting the show by a nose from Ilautagenet. The third race "was won by C. II. Smiths Johns Uiumn, which went to the front at the barriers rise and made every post a winning one, just lasting to wiii by a neck. . Light Rose, which was slow getting started, made . UP ground gradually and was Kping fast at the end. Overcast skies and an ordinary program did not detract any from the attendance, there being a large crowd at the course. The fourth at. one mile produced the best field of the day and was won by the first favorite of the day-in B. W. Smiths War Note, which raced Siren Maid into early defeat and drew away to win with little difficulty.
