CRACK COLT GENERAL J. M. GOMEZ SOLD HAVANA. Cuba, November 22. Senor A. H. Diaz has oold his crack two-yenr-old colt General J. M. Gomez for the reported sum of 0,000, the buyer being Senor Nicolas Adam, the wealthy sugarcane grower who was recently elected congressman from the Province of Camaguey. Surprise was expressed by horsemen at Oriental Park that Senor Diaz would part with such a good colt as General J. M. Gomez, .which should prove a formidable candidate for. the rich Cuban Derby. The filly Cuba-nita was also sold by the Diaz stable, the Arniouia Stable being the purchaser. J. Whatley, whose horse Fair and Warmer mysteriously disappeared in Canada last summer and was never found, is a recent arrival here with two horses, Assumption and Snow Queen. l
