TIJUANA RACING TODAY Fine Card of Seven Races Provided for Opening Day at Mexican Track. SAN DIEGO, Cal., November 24. What is expected to be the most prosperous season of winter racing on the Pacific coast since the goqd old days at Oakland will be inaugurated at the Tijuana track tomorrow. The great array of, valuable stake races offered by the Lower California Jockey Club has attracted more and a better grade of horses than were seen here in former years. There are approximately seven hnndred thoroughbreds here now, with new arrivals reaching the Mexican course daily. Quite a number of these horses have been here for some time and are in racing condition, while the late comers only need a rest after their long trip from the Middle West and the East to be ready for the colors. For the inaugural program seven races are provided, with an allowance race at one mile and Seventy yards, and a handicap for all ages at five and a half furlongs as the principal attractions. Horses above the ordinary are named in both races. Nepperhan, Anzac, Jake Schhs, The .Desert and Yerniak should furnish a grand contest in the mile and seventy yards dash, while in the handicap Sedan appears best, but has formidable opponents in old Top o th Morning, Hamilton A.j Lady in Black and others., Francis Nelson of Toronto, the well-known Canadian racing official, who will, be the presiding steward here, arrived Sunday and visited the track. He was delighted with it and the -prospects. The management is constuctihg 200 new stalls and lias notified its representative at Bowie to discontinue shipments of horses other than those already allotted stalls.
